Aliensdontringdoorbells have landed!
Aliensdontringdoorbells are a pop-rock trio that cross geographical locations as well as music genres, and that is exactly what they have done on their new single Story’.
Telling the tale of a childhood spent in the sun with loved ones, ‘Story’ paints images of sun-soaked beaches, long walks and an overall simpler time. However, the track is soon turned on its head as the idea of loss comes into play and you are left with an emotive narrative which will really hit home with listeners especially during the global pandemic. The pop production glints and reminds me of Natasha Bedingfield’s single ‘Unwritten’ with its bright tones and the textured lead vocal might appeal to fans of Take That and Gary Barlow given that it sounds very easy on the ear. Interestingly, though the songwriting is more like that of Glen Campbell or The Traveling Wilburys.
In conclusion, ‘Story’ is an exciting introduction to Aliensdontringdoorbells and I would be interested to hear the rest of their debut album which was recorded in the Bahamas and experience a live show.
