Amy Minh Hạnh Corey not only “one to watch” but “one to make a difference” .

Amy Minh Hạnh Corey not only “one to watch” but “one to make a difference”.

Amy was born and adopted from Da Nang, Vietnam at six months old. Her birth name is Dang Thi Minh Hanh; a very symbolic and meaningful name in the Vietnamese culture. In Vietnamese “Minh” means “bright” and “Hạnh” means “good morale, good soul”. Combining those two doesn’t just make a powerful name, but a powerful person and that power has unintentionally made Amy Minh Hạnh Corey not only “one to watch” but “one to make a difference” and the “face of Internationalism”. Now at only twenty-two years of age, Amy Minh Hanh Corey has started an empire just by being honest with her life, her mental health, and past struggles with being adopted, bullying, depression, self-harm, and so much more. She passionately infuses this honesty in her music, speaking, writing, brand, and other entrepreneurial projects. Amy’s compassion and understanding to those who feel misunderstood has gained recognition in multiple industries, by public figures such as Dolly Parton, Gary Vee, Dr. Oz, Andy Wilman, and hit songwriters and public figures throughout the world. Not only being recently endorsed by The President of the Ho Chi Minh City Peace and Development Foundation in Vietnam and signing as an ambassador for the Holt International Adoption Agency’s child sponsorship program. Her message in music, writing, and public speaking roles in both Mental Health and Vietnam has been widely publicized through TV, Magazines, radio and blogs, including Fox: Rock and Review, XoneFM (in Vietnam), Today in Nashville, Balcony TV, A&R Factory (UK) ” and has toured Middle Schools and High Schools throughout the US including schools in Oregon, Washington State, Tennessee, Ohio and more schools associated with HOPE Squad and other mental health organizations.

Honesty, hope, and understanding are the three words that describe Amy’s message and brand. Her power throughout her career and life has been to understand people. Understanding how every story is different she wants to make clear that she is not telling anyone what to do, but showing them the possibility of happiness in life and the light you can choose to find from the darkness. No matter what pain Amy has to go through, as long as her pain can make someone else’s pain heal, she won’t stop being open and honest in her journey. Amy hopes for her story and message to be the light for her fans and anyone who feels misunderstood. She hopes it can spark some light so that they can find the light in their own lives and believe in the endless possibilities in this world.

“I’ve been very lucky that I learned and practiced finding light and positivity from dark situations and negative times… I find inspiration in every success and failure and so my voice and passions have grown. There isn’t a specific thing I want to be known for.. I just want my voice to be used for good, so I’m just using it everywhere right now. I hope my pain can help someone else’s pain, and I will put forth all of me and my sufferings to make someone else’s pain and sufferings heal. That’s all I want to do, and I am honored to have a platform to do it and I just hope it can grow, because what has happened so far has been unintentional… So now I’m running full speed with it, cause there are so many projects on the table and I am taking the steps in doing them all..” – Amy Minh Hanh Corey
