Ked Rocker’s “Legendary” is a solid pop/ hip hop cut

Ked Rocker’s “Legendary” is a solid pop/ hip hop cut with everything going for it, as well as the artist himself, and it comes recommended for anyone in the rap zone, as well as the explicit music fans because it’s got some slang words but nothing out of the ordinary in terms of today’s hip hop standards. Coming from south FLA, this is just the kind of thing for the summer, chilling or rolling in in the car. It’s got that indoor/outdoor factor going for it as well. It’s not your run of the mill variety but also not too far off the cutting-edge.

If I could repeat the lyrics this review wouldn’t have much room for any critiquing or describing for that matter. And I’d have to-be very nit-picky to find any flaws in Ked Rocker’s very well produced/engineered and mixed cut. There’s no mistaking a well written, produced and arranged track, so the enjoyment is all there is left to write home about. The words go many places here but center around status and the usual things to rap about. It’s just that Ked Rocker isn’t like every rapper, as there’s more to it than rapping just to get a word across.

These words have meaning but you have-to string them together and either dig the result or it’s not for you. There’s no way to turn a voice down but there’s also a good strong tune here. It could rock a little harder, but I digress because the vibe is ultra-sonic but very mellow in pace. I would definitely-classify “Legendary” as a slow tune, but never a boring tune, so you can slow dance but it’s more of a steady jam relying on somewhat incendiary lyrics and good vocals. These are not elements gone missing on everyone, but only the survival of the fittest can stay in front of today’s average attention span.

It’s a good thing for indie radio, social networks and all the ways to be heard and seen, or stuff like “Legendary” can fall through the cracks like anything else. The cut should take off before too long if it keeps getting pushed, otherwise, what is music for. Taking the bad with the good is how reviews keep going, and this is a good one, there just isn’t enough to say about Ked Rocker himself yet, other than it feels like he’s going down the right path to get seen and heard.

What more can a hip hop single bring than something good to dance to or sing along with, it’s really all there is to feelgood music. There’s a lot to do and a lot of musical talent competition is south FLA, but Ked Rocker is setting his own path and following it right to wherever it leads. But the one thing left that keeps me enormously satisfied with this tune is the syncopated beats combined with keyboards. You get both a solid piece of music and an up-front voice to back it, and that’s enough to ask for when the getting is this good.
