How are you making out in 2021 with your music?
So far it’s been a pretty good year with my music, from my perspective. I’ve had some growth as an artist (Although, I am fairly new to be honest) that has really inspired me to chisel at music harder. Basically, I am becoming more comfortable with my sound.
What has the difference been between 2020 Mushu vs. 2021 Mushu?
Exponential growth would be the main difference between 2020 Mushu and 2021 Mushu. I’ve had time to really hone my lyrics, delivery, and I’ve become more familiar with my equipment. With that said, it has made my creative process much more enjoyable for me and something that I look forward to on the daily.
Is there anything or one that has contributed to the growth?
I’ve had some very positive influences that contributed to growth, like my significant other for instance. Being around her positive energy has opened my eyes to myself. My issues, my passions, what makes me tick really. I would not consider myself a good person, but I want to be. Like everyone else does. So, every day I make an effort to work on my weak areas (Being a better human). This, over time, has contributed so much to my growth as an artist. And It still does!
What do you base your success on?
Happiness. That is what I base my success on. It used to be way more materialistic, i’ll admit, but growing (both with age and mind) has shown me the value of actually enjoying your life. Not just living it. So, the more that I enjoy my creative processes, the more successful I’ll be. If people happen to vibe while this happens, then that would be maximum success! If you catch my drift?
How has the support of your fans kept you to keep on going?
Honestly, support from my fans let me know that I do have something worth showing. I’m definitely not the first person to feel inadequate at times and having that positive reinforcement gives me the juice to keep myself in a creative space.
Any major news to share?
The major news I have is that I’ve got more tunes coming your way. All I can say right now is that this Summer is going to be dope.
What do new fans need to stream RIGHT now of yours?
My latest single needs to be streamed RIGHT now!! That is ‘Lo Mein’, featuring my dude Lerick, with the beat made by a friend in Albania. It’s a delicious treat, that’s for sure. All for entertainment purposes of course!
Where can they keep up with you going forward?
Definitely Instagram and Facebook are the best places at the moment to keep up with me going forward. I try to give little peaks and definitely make all my announcements there. I’ll be constructing a site again soon, so until then, there!
