Explore Retro Soundscapes With Jeffrey Chan’s New Single ‘Try’

Sydney, Australia (Nov 27, 2020) – Australian pop singer/songwriter Jeffrey Chan has just released his new single Try, available now on all digital streaming platforms. (smarturl.it/JeffreyTry)

This retro-tinged pop ballad is Jeffrey’s first co-production single with acclaimed New York producer Dibs (Carly Rae Jepsen, Melanie Martinez). The new single explores a retro-pop sound under a modern lens – with its 80s inspired lead synth and the “heart on your sleeve” lyrics. Together both creatives crafted an anthemic track that explores unique retro soundscapes that push the pop ballad genre.

To accompany the exciting release of Try, Jeffrey will also be releasing the official music video on YouTube, the following Friday. The self-directed video is a homage to the minimalist and simplistic video stylings of the early 80s-90s, of which the single is heavily influenced.

For more behind the scenes content in the creation and production of the Try era, Jeffrey will also be releasing an exclusive ‘Behind the Making Of…Try’ video, along with a special live performance video and exclusive live stream.

Try comes off the back of Jeffrey’s most recent single, Glow which was released to critical acclaim, and quickly cemented itself as a fan favourite; amassing over 100k streams in just a few months. A self-directed video for the track was released which was filmed at home in the midst of the quarantine period (watch here: youtu.be/7GE0rVyMfqU).
