The second release from her upcoming album of the same name, ‘Character’ sees Rachael Sage stepping out of her comfort zone to produce a darker and more brooding sound accompanying her usual confessional lyric style.

With Rachael Sage’s song “Character”, the NYC-based songwriter ventures into edgier, alt-rock terrain, backed by lead guitarist James Mastro (Ian Hunter) and drummer Doug Yowell (Joe Jackson). Propelled by Sage’s grungy electric guitar playing and Grammy® Nominee Dave Eggar’s melancholic cello, “this timely and timeless anthem questions the definitions of societal cornerstones such as faith, integrity, authenticity and freedom” (Ghetto Blaster). A fitting track for the beginning of a new decade, the song was produced by Sage and Grammy® winner Andy Zulla (Rod Stewart, Kelly Clarkson).

Currently on tour supporting Howard Jones, Rachael Sage is gearing up to releasing her album that shares the same name.
