management, booking and public relations for Ras Midas

Jacksonville Beach, Fla. April 7, 2013 – – Nan Lewis has re-opened Entertainment Works to provide management, marketing, public relations and publicity services to Jamaican recording and performing artist Ras Midas. Entertainment Works will also coordinate bookings for Ras Midas in North and South America, Africa, United Kingdom, and the Caribbean.

Lewis has over three decades experience in marketing and PR, beginning her career on Madison Avenue (N.Y., N.Y.) in the home furnishings industry. She was previously PR Manager for Osborne Associates and Drucilla Handy Company, both in New York, N.Y.; PR Director of The Reeves Agency (Baltimore, Md.); Public Relations Director of New Performing Arts, Inc. (Towson, Md.); PR and Recruitment Coordinator for the University of Florida’s Diabetes Research Center (Gainesville, Fla.); Marketing and PR Director of Acoustiblok, Inc. (Tampa, Fla.), and most recently Marketing and PR Manger of the Mahaffey Theater (St. Petersburg, Fla.).
Finding her niche in the entertainment industry, Lewis has worked with celebrities including Jerry Lewis, Roddy MacDowell, Travis Tritt, Stephanie Mills, Jerry Seinfeld, Garrison Keillor, and numerous touring Broadway shows.

Lewis founded Entertainment Works in 1989 and represented recording and performing artists in Reggae, Funk, R&B/Soul, and African music. Lewis represented Friends of Distinction (“Grazin’ In The Grass,” “Love Or Let Me Be Lonely”), Bernie Worrell (Talking Heads, Parliament Funkadelic), Errol Blackwood (founder of and the lead vocalist/bass player of Canadian Reggae band Messenjah), Clinton Fearon (formerly with The Gladiators), Peter Broggs, Prince Alla, Nasio Fontaine, Winston Grennan, Jerri Jhetto and others, and worked with Toots & The Maytals, The Skatalites, Israel Vibrations, King Bravo, Lord Tanamo, and more.

Lewis was Ras Midas’s publicist throughout the 1990s.
