Nashville-Recording Artist Sings of Gratitude in Post-COVID World

Growing up on a farm in the Texas Panhandle before moving to the small town of Tomball near Houston, Texas, Eli re-embraces his upbringing and country roots as he seamlessly bridges the gap between heartland rock and modern country. From deep baritone vocals reminiscent of Johnny Cash to melodies inspired by the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Brandon Flowers of The Killers, his debut single “I Didn’t Lose You” is an honest reflection on a dismal 2020 that inspires us to seek gratitude amid loss and heartache.

Raised on classic rock and country, The Eagles, Jim Croce, Jerry Reed, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and The Oak Ridge Boys were key influencers. With a style that has been described as a 1960s and 1970s inspired take on modern country, Eli Moore Band brings a fresh sound to country and southern rock with a cocktail of authentic lyrics and Americana-infused melodies.
“I love acoustic tracks from the 1970s – that is where I draw the majority of my inspiration.”

In the midst of COVID-19 and following a massive layoff at work at the end of 2020, Eli went on a 2,000 mile solo road trip to Santa Fe and Big Bend in January 2021 between jobs. It was the trip he had dreamed of taking for 15 years, but he didn’t expect it to be the beginning of Eli Moore Band. It was a trip filled with hiking, camping, recording, and chili rellenos! It was also the inspiration and motivating factor behind the beginning of the Eli Moore Band. This trip was a turning point from a year where Eli lost a dream job, ruptured his Achilles, supported a best friend whose dad died, and struggled with depression in a world where community and human interaction was practically impossible.

Following this trip, Eli’s wife, Laura, encouraged him to pursue his dreams and go to Nashville to record one of his songs. There, he met Ben Reno of Majestic Ape Studios – one of the premier studios in Nashville – who believed in Eli and helped him bring his music to life. They chose to record “I Didn’t Lose You” as a tribute to all of the people looking for inspiration in the dire post-COVID world, which releases July 9, 2021.

Eli continues to write and since March of 2020 has written over 50 songs. “My music is about two things: human connection and the feeling of freedom you get on the open road. I start off my writing process intrinsically. I write first for me, my family, and my friends. Then, I rework my songs to be more broadly appealing while retaining the integrity of the story I’m trying to tell. My songs are driven by emotion – often ways of processing through the heartache that I, my friends, or my family have gone through. My goal is to write songs that connect with people, help them not feel alone during difficult times in their lives, and help them tap into empathy and feel what other people are going through.”

While currently promoting a debut single, Eli Moore Band is recording five new songs with Majestic Ape Studios in Nashville, Tennessee to be released in Spring 2022 and collaborating with other artists in Houston, Denver, and Nashville.
