ONARSÉ TAKES YOU ON THE POIGNANT JOURNEY OF LOVE WITH NEW E.P. “15/10”

Release: ‪24/07/2020‬. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ONARSÉ, TAKES YOU ON THE POIGNANT JOURNEY OF LOVE WITH HIS NEW E.P. “‪15/10‬”

The Filipino-Australian R&B singer possesses a distinct voice that will conquer a new decade of music one song at a time.

The reality of love is the driving force behind Onarsé’s debut E.P. titled “‪15/10‬”. The 18-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer created his 6 track EP which is inspired d by modern R&B but also embraces and infuses different genres that powerfully attracts all music fans. From the heart-wrenching R&B soul ballad “Never Be Enough” to a haunting, yet alluring minimalistic Emo R&B in “Last Summer” It’s easy to appreciate how the influences of artists such as Frank Ocean and Lana Del Ray inspired this EP; however, his effortless versatility in fusing different musical elements, ability to create an aura that resonates with your mind and soul and his raw, distinct vocal colour is what allows Onarsé to create a world of his own.

He wields a dreamy, buttery, yet mellifluous voice similar to The Weeknd and Michael Jackson that is able to transcend you into the heights and depths of nostalgia over an ocean of 90’s inspired modern-day R&B melodies infused with indie/alternative, soul, smooth funk and pop music; and just like a compass, he guides listeners through the bittersweet journey of chasing the one you love that could never be yours. Onarsé wrote all the songs in his EP by himself. Which highlights his maturity as a writer and undeniable ability to use the power of words to create an atmosphere in his music that is able to resonate to the hearts and personal experiences of listeners.

The EP was written and recorded in Sydney, Australia in his bedroom studio; which took nearly 6 months to complete. “As a musician, it’s inevitable that I put my all into my music. I like to be involved with my creative process because essentially, my music is an extension of me as a person and it’s my way of communicating my life using not only words through my lyrics but also communicating emotions through my melodies and my voice that everyday conversations aren’t able to do,” says Onarsé. “The reason why the EP is titled “‪15/10‬” is because it’s actually my birth date and because when a baby is born, it’s surrounded by love and it’s given love effortlessly; but as we grow up, we often begin to drift away from the people who gave us love and search for a different kind of love that we haven’t felt before, a type of love that you want to share with somebody else that’s never been present in your life, who’s able to give you a sense of thrill and that’s the phase I was going through prior to creating the EP. I found somebody, but they couldn’t quite find themself; they weren’t ready to live their truth” he added.

Although each song varies in tone, each one is so distinctive that it emphasizes what seems to be Onarsé’s signature sound. As you begin to descend down the EP, the “‪15/10‬” concept comes to a sentimental end that leaves listeners in awe, in sadness, in love, and in pain; as if they were living in Onarsé’s songs.

Onarsé

I used to only write poems when I was younger, then my love for music flourished and it’s became so incadescent that now… even though I don’t have an audience to share my music with at the moment (I’m practically writing this post to no one but myself lol), I just hope that whoever stumbles across my music and is going through something is able to feel and create that connection with my music.
