QUEER POP ARTIST, JAKE FROST, BREAKS GENDER ROLES IN NEW SINGLE “GON’ DO IT”
(New York, NY) After his first EP Loveless, Jake Frost is gearing up to release his new single “Gon Do’ It” on September 13th. The new single basks in the idea of liberation, breaking gender roles and social expectations. Gon’ Do It is an empowerment anthem in celebration of who you are.
Growing up with the piano in both Taiwan and Peru, Frost found his passion for songwriting and the dramatic arts. After completing his mandatory military services and graduating from NYU, Frost is back in New York City to pursue his dreams. His first outing, Loveless, saw Frost explores the vulnerabilities of being a queer person of color. The project experienced success with the song Undercover, being added to Spotify editorial playlist OUT NOW with results of reaching 64K streams. A music video for Undercover is also released in May 2019.

On a quiet September night in 2017, Jake Frost found himself in an army bunker in the Taiwanese training camp. There and then he wondered why he hadn’t done anything with all the songs he had written. An intention was sent out that moment amongst 160 other cadets sharing the same room, determining to make that right.
