Rachael Sage takes to the stage in support of small venues

Last Friday, Rachael Sage took to the stage (webcam?) amongst a host of independent artists to perform acoustically over Zoom for a benefit concert in support of the Green Note grassroots venue.

Rachael Sage showed off her multi-instrumentalist chops, taking to both piano and acoustic guitar as she performed songs from her latest album, Character, as well as some old favourites from her extensive back catalogue. Taking it in turns, the artists complimented each others’ performances and asked questions about their careers and goals, in a celebration of solidarity and strength during a difficult time.

The evening was the 27th installment in the “Virtually Green Note” series, where favourites of the venue performed over the internet with a suggested donation of £10 in order to help fund the venue during closures. We trust that Sage’s performance would have encouraged many to reach into their pockets in support of this worthy cause!
