ROCK BAND THE BLUE NEWS TO RELEASE NEW SINGLE “PUMP IT UP”

February 2, 2021- (Terre Haute, IN) – The Blue News last made headlines when the unsigned rock band from Indiana reached over 1 million streams in 2019. They’re kicking things off in 2021 with the new single Pump It Up (a cover of the Elvis Costello song) being released on Friday, February 19. “Pump It Up” is currently streaming on the band’s website www.bluenewsband.com before the song is released on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music and more.

The Blue News came to life in 2006, after being offered a record release deal by Statue Records Hollywood. By 2010, the band produced music with the likes of producer Sylvia Massy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool) and studio engineer Jim Devito (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers). Their self-released songs have now been licensed over 20 times in Netflix series, national television, video games and film and their music now sees thousands of streams online from listeners around the world every month.

The upcoming single can be heard on the band’s website ahead of its release on Friday, February 19. After that date it can be heard everywhere streaming and downloads are available.
