Six Time Losers Examine “What’s Left”

Blending their musical influences, country band Six Time Losers finds themselves combining folk fire with Americana roots, and all the organic twang of a traditional country song with the release of their newest single, “What’s Left.” The first offering from their upcoming November 12th album, “Only First Names Die,” Six Time Losers showcases each band member’s unique talent. Combining the unlikely instrumentation of pedal steel guitar and saxophone, Six Time Losers proves their formula not only works but astonishes. Creating an intoxicating musical masterpiece, “What’s Left” examines the remnants of a fractured relationship. Telling the story of love lost, Six Time Losers first craft a lyrical picture that encompasses the purity of love. “Florida boy and a Georgia girl / rode off into this great big world / on the back of his motorbike…” they croon, explaining broken hearts aren’t always the case.

After losing what once was, the story examines what remains of the relationship, exploring the feelings of betrayal and loss. By combining folk, blues, country, and americana elements, Six Time Losers bring comfort to the darker emotions heard in the lyrics. It’s easy to get lost in fading love, and Six Time Losers expand on those emotions in “What’s Left.”
