Skunk Oil steps into the new decade with “Godlike”
Skunk Oil is an Alternative-Heavy Rock band formed in Boston in 2017 by three Brazilian musicians Dennis D’Angelo (Guitars), Lucas Tadini (Keyboards), and former drummer, Caio Moskalkoff, while the three were attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
The band channels a unique sound that is energetic, raw, introspective, and groovy all at once, drawing inspiration from legends such as Black Sabbath and Soundgarden, while adding a modern twist that comes from the likes of Muse and Queens of The Stone Age. Combining blues-rock, grunge, and psychedelic elements of the ‘70s and ’90s, Skunk Oil’s music remains fresh and is sure to make the listeners want more.
Their first EP, “Skeletons In The Closet” released in 2018, was entirely produced by the band and it features the well-received single “Elephant’s Paw”, as well as “Ritual” and “Illusion”.
Their new single, “Godlike”, is a powerful song about a fictitious character, a typical “antihero”, who’s obsessed with power, influence, and control over others. The song is set to release on June 22nd, 2020 – expect heavy guitar riffs, intimate lyrics, and an explosive sound.
Now ready to debut its new lineup, the sky’s the limit for the now LA-based group.
