Every year since 1947, Rastafarians in Jamaica and around the world celebrate the birthday of Haile Selassie I Emperor of Ethiopia. Born in 1892, he is best remembered for a speech delivered to the League of Nations during the brutal Italian invasion of the 1930’s; the words appear in Bob Marley’s famous song “War.”
On Saturday July 23rd, 2022, at 9:00 Pm Eastern Time; Redemption Corner in association with Full 100 Records will present The Haile Selassie I 130th Birthday Celebration, featuring the live stream broadcasting premiere of the new documentary titled Haile Selassie I, Man of Right. The film’s executive producer is Gregory Kellman and dives deep into some of the most defining moments in the life of the Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Following the documentary, International Reggae and Dancehall Superstar Melekel will perform the film’s title track “Documentary.” The events will be streamed live on multiple platforms and are expected to run concurrently.
